The unique art of Nora and Naomi is a blend of sensitivity and obduracy, its roots in the fact of an ingathering of exiles struggling for place and identity.
Their art language exposes the difficulties of developing this blend. It creates a composition that is as obstinate as a shadow: a crystallized clustering born of microscopic ferreting, ranging from the minuscule and particular to a subjective, womb-like wholeness, a dialogue that is offered as a monologue.
Nora and Naomi have been working together since 1960. They are graduates of the first intake
