I believe the creative process is the most crucial stage in making art. What exactly defines this process? Is it technique, technology, an initial idea, or embracing the accidental? The answers differ widely, as creators are often drawn to the hidden and invisible aspects of their work. Technology reveals technique, risk introduces pressure, and chance fosters uniqueness.

I advocate for an interdisciplinary approach to culture and identity. In the 1980s, I significantly contributed to media, serving as the founder and first editor of the “Galleria” section at Haaretz newspaper from 1989 to 1991.

In my exhibition, *An Israeli Object: A Matter of Time* (2003), I showcased various art forms to reflect identity and highlight local formal codes. In another exhibition, *Ad-Dress: Thoughts on Garments* (2011), I facilitated a dialogue on how clothing expresses Israeli identity concerning society and gender.

My PhD dissertation focused on community planning, considering the needs of future residents. The ongoing conflict between “here” and “there” continues to shape Israeli identity, and these global issues require an open-minded approach.
